Function Rooms
The Wilkins
Nineteenth-century architect William Wilkins is renowned for designing the National Gallery, University College and the original St.George’s structure. The Wilkins commemorates this. Perfectly square in dimensions, The Wilkins features walls of a translucent eggshell blue colour used extensively in the decorative schemes at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. The focal point of the room is an impressive nineteenth-century fireplace.

The Westminster
Commemorating the Duke of Westminster, whose family has owned the land on which The Lanesborough stands for more than a century, The Westminster takes the form of a traditional winter garden with a dramatic glass ceiling.
Walls painted in a striking Chinese Imperial yellow set a dramatic mood in this unusual room. On one wall sits a neo-classical nineteenth-century white marble fireplace, over which hangs a majestic gilt mirror. Beautiful inlaid-wood sideboards and seventeenth and eighteenth-century paintings grace each side of the fireplace, with an elegant crystal chandelier suspended from the centre of the glass roof. An inlaid parquet border surrounds the room's handmade carpet, based on an early nineteenth-century design.

The Wellington
The dignity of the first Duke of Wellington is classically reflected within The Wellington. Ideal for stately functions, The Wellington features an anteroom, a private entrance area for receiving guests. Within the room, fanciful columns and pilasters and traditional deep Wedgwood-blue walls are enhanced by Chinese blue and white Porcelain objects d'art and Georgian windows draped in delicate lace. Matching nineteenth-century white marble fireplaces sit under gilt mirrors at each end of the room.

The St Georges
The classical namesake room is reminiscent of the ancient Greek Choragic onument of Thrasyllus, used as the basis of architect William Wilkins’ design of The Lanesborough’s original structure.
Eight columns support a frieze of laurel wreaths adorned with gold leaf. Three original Georgian windows, overlooking Constitution Arch, are draped in pink silk damask, complementing the walls which are covered in an early nineteenth-century style pink, green and white silk stripe. An original fireplace designed by William Wilkins stands beneath the central window and a First Empire-style black-enamel chandelier hangs in the centre of the room.

The Belgravia
The timeless elegance of The Belgravia reflects the traditional style of the private homes located in this noble London neighbourhood. The warm blaze of the vestibule fireplace welcomes guests to The Belgravia, The Lanesborough's finest private dining room. Richly decorated, the warm golden hue of the walls is an historic recreation of the colouring used in the regency period. Classic columns are topped with palm leaf capitals, while windows offering views across to Hyde Park are echoed by the gilt mirrors opposite. The Belgravia may be visually divided into two sections through the use of a beautiful set of antique screens overlaid with gold leaf.
