The British Museum

The BP Lecture Theatre, inaugurated in November 2000 by Nelson Mandela, is an ideal principal venue for conferences seating up to 320 delegates (and 6 spaces for wheelchair users). The theatre is equipped with a raised stage, lectern, screen, audio-visual control room and four translation booths.

Hugh and Catherine Svenson Theatre The Stevenson Lecture Theatre seats 144 with 6 spaces for wheelchair users. The theatre is equipped with a screen, audio-visual control room, lectern, and two translation booths. The venue hire fee includes assisted AV support and use of the foyer during the event.

Raymond and Beverly Sackler Rooms The Sackler Rooms are an ideal venue for a seminar or meeting, or a breakout space as part of a larger conference. Combined, the venues form one large room for up to 90 delegates (theatre style) or individually form two rooms for up to 45 delegates (theatre style). Other possible seating arrangements include space for up to 40 people cabaret style or 35 boardroom style. The venue hire fee includes AV equipment and use of the foyer during the event.

The Claus Moser Rooms The Claus Moser Room seats 30 delegates theatre style or up to 16 boardroom style. This room is only available in conjunction with hire of another venue within The Clore Education Centre. The venue hire fee includes AV equipment.

The Studio The Studio seats 20 delegates theatre style or up to 16 boardroom style. It provides an ideal breakout space and is equipped with a lino floor for practical workshop sessions. This room is only available in conjunction with hire of another venue within The Clore Education Centre. The venue hire fee includes AV equipment.
