The impact of Global Warming on the environment is displayed to us every day and people form countries all over the world are creating new ways to decrease the levels of carbon emissions and reduce the amount of waste we produce each year.

Venues becoming more ‘green’

The UK is developing a number a schemes to try and help combat the problems and limit any future damaged caused to the environment. Conference centres are being to incoporate new strategies and plans to reduced their impact and become more environmentally friendly.

  • Heat insulators
  • Energy saving light bulbs 
  • Motion sensors (preventing the lights being left on by mistake)

Attracting New Markets

Also by making the buildings more environmentally friendly the conference centres are appealing to more groups of delegates, especially those holding large annual conferences.

Also an increasing number of delegates holding annual meetings are specifically asking for venues which are eco - friendly, as they do not want to be viewed as harming the environment.

Furthermore, a large number a conferences and meetings are held each year by environmental agency’s and businesses who ask specifically for conference venues that economically friendly.
